GPU, logs, and beta caveats
Same GPU-vs-CPU selection as Windows. Check DigUp’s local logs (path may vary by package):
~/.local/share/com.arahim3.digup/logs/speed.log- Last line should show
"device": "gpu"or"cpu". - Not in 0.7.0-beta.1 yet: screenshot OCR text; old
.doc, RAW, SVG are skipped. - With
.deb, DigUp notifies you of new versions; AppImage can self-update per release notes.
First-run checklist
- Confirm you installed from ARahim3/DigUp Release assets only.
- Wait for the ~865 MB model (or use offline files if documented for your build).
- Select local folders (not undownloaded cloud placeholders).
- Test Ctrl+Shift+Space and a natural-language photo/PDF query.
- If GPU expected but missing, open
speed.logand file an upstream issue with that line.
